OXBOW KID’S WEEK FREESTYLE TOUR

ARE (SWEDEN), MARCH THE 15th, 2008

The 4th and last step of the European Oxbow Kid's Week Freestyle Tour occurred in the Far North. Landscapes of fir trees forests as far as the eye can see, hundreds of frozen lakes, the snow-covered routes where we expect from everywhere to see crossing an elk or a caribou…
ARE remains a great Swedish ski resort station that has accommodated us for our ultimate session, the most exotic one !!!

Welcome in the country of Freestyle, ARE, JON OLSON’s station, one of the best skiers of the world, multiple winner of X GAMES competition. We do understand better the key of this success. considering the quality of the snowpark and the big size of the site for skiing ...A snowpark built on the American model, with 4 lines, a beginning line with a session of 5 jumps and a mini pipe, a rails line making dreaming everyone of us, and also 2 lines to raise the level, a red and a black one , everything being linked up from top to bottom as well as a pipe pro…. Each line and each module are perfectly shaped … How wonderful!

Such infrastructures can easier explain the technical level of these 45 participating kids, very performant skiers that especially came for this first Swedish Oxbow event. …Flo Cuviller, a pro skier but also the Oxbow Team Manager, was really impressed by the evolutions of these young freestylers. The choice was difficult to make to select the winner so that the judges decided to launch a battle between the first 3 kids in order to known which one of them would join the OXBOW KID' S WEEK TRAINIG CAMP in the 2 Alpes, France, in July the 5^th.

A last trick for Frej Jonsson, Carl Regner et Brape Morten, carried in express thanks to the snowmobile of Petter and Sarah from the Event-Management team of ARE …All the others kids as well as the public were located in the arrival area and were waiting for Andreas that was holding the microphone in hand to give the signal departure for this battle…A last trick on the bottom ski jump to chose the winner… After some Switch 900 mute and Cork 900 rev, it is finally Frej Josson, 14 years’old who will leave for the 2 Alpes thanks to a very performing Switch 900 Bio !…
